Position Overview
pressure* has taken off in a big way. Large high profile clients, are seeking us out for our effective and innovative designs that push the envelope of creativity. We're looking for an Art Director who can help propel us to that next level in design. The projects are intense, and the deadlines are tight. Don’t fear because the adreneline is worth every minute. Candidate
The position is open to those whose talent is exceeded only by their enthusiasm and personality. pressure* is looking for an energetic and motivated individual capable of handling extremely tight deadlines and bad ass projects. The likely candidate will be professional and experienced and ‘in tune’ with the latest design trends and techniques with serious knowledge of style, layout, and pre-press production standards. Being fast without sacrificing creativity will make impossible deadlines seem like a walk in the park.
Required Skills
The candidate must possess exceptional fluency in Adobe Indesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Quark Express. Art direction skills accompanied by proven production workflow knowledge is an asset. Your experience and knowledge of typography is a must. A good sense of humour and the ability to have fun at work is also mandatory. Remember, we’re looking for ultra creative individuals who know trends, style and layout. Please include links to your online portfolio showing how you’ve pushed the limits of design and innovation.
Experience
Those candidates with a minimum of 4 years experience as a full time or contract, in house, senior designer or art director will be considered.
Compensation
The salary for this position starts at +$50K per year depending on experience.
